Young  passa la sua infanzia lavorando con Narcy ogni estate e impara l’arte della calzatura di altissima qualità. Tacchi e forme sono fatti direttamente da blocchi di legno e ogni angolo è studiato. Infatti, una scarpa diventa comoda se il piede è sopportato adeguatamente, se l’insieme della scarpa si fa leggera, se non si crea troppa pressione sugli avampiedi. La tecnologia usata è brevettata.

Raphael Young is a young French designer. His uncle is the famous Alexandre Narcy, who, in the 1950s, created the shoe studio at Yves Saint Laurent. Young spent his childhood working with Narcy every summer and learns the art of very high quality shoemaking. Heels and structures are sculpted directly from wooden blocks and every angle is studied. A shoe becomes comfortable if the foot is adequately supported, if it is light enough and if not too much pressure is applied to the ball of the foot. The technology he uses has a patent. Young allows women to really appreciate high heels, offering them very edgy and modern designs, loved by trendsetters such as Sarah Jessica Parker (responsible for popularizing Manolo Blahniks). He opens his first boutique in the 1er Arrondissement in Paris this year.
