From awards season way back at the beginning of the year to the Christmas party circuit, 2016 has been a fantastic, fun-filled year for fashion.

Packed full of plenty of hits, misses and maybes, we’ve charted every high and low, and dutifully shared them with you.

Looking back on an eventful year, we think this is the perfect time to congratulate the celebs that nailed it this year with own very own fashion awards. We know who we’ve loved, the question is, do you agree?

Red carpet queen

It was a close call and we had three stand out favourites for this award; Julianne Moore, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence.

We have J’adored every Dior moment that Jennifer Lawrence has provided us with this year, but it was the black Alexander Wang outfit that she wore to the

Vanity Fair Oscar after party

that sealed it for us.

It’s also been one hell of a year for Julianne Moore, who has eclipsed stars half her age every time she’s set foot on the red carpet. Her breathtaking Chanel Oscars vintage prom dresses had us hyperventilating.

Another actress that knows her way around a designer frock is Amy Adams, who is flawless every time. She’s had a Versace ‘thang’ going on in 2016 and it’s really been working out well for her.

There were a few worthy contenders for this prize, but Jenna Coleman comes out on top.

She seems to have come from nowhere and taken the red carpet by storm. The star of the ITV hit series Victoria has delighted us with her fashion choices.

Lily James, known to most for her role as Lady Rose Aldridge in Downton Abbey, is another actress that caught our eye this year and comes an honourable second. Not only is her career catapulting, she looked incredible in a wrap over belted brocade Burberry coat at London Fashion Week. She’s been on our radar ever since.

We’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve looked at Alexa Chung this year and wanted to buy everything she’s wearing. So we love her for collaborating on her Archive Collection for M&S, allowing us to get hold of her exact outfit. Here she is wearing the sell out PVC mac from her second collection.

Victoria Beckham is our runner-up. She’s raised the bar this year stepping out in an array of daytime outfits that we’ve drooled over. Obviously, having her own fashion collection at her disposal has helped….

We’ve charted the highs and lows of Strictly presenter Claudia Winkleman’s fringe throughout 2016. Often referred to as the most irritating fringe on television, our verdict? We love it. It’s the hair style that divides the nation but we are BIG fans. The fact that she’s gorgeous and super funny and makes us laugh a lot helps.
