Meredith Reed Farkasovsky and Benjamin Michael Baird were united in marriage on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Linden Hall Mansion, Dawson, Pennsylvania. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Cody Sabol, cousin of the bridegroom.

The bride and bridegroom presented each other with a heart-shaped lock monogramed with their names and wedding date, during the ceremony they exchanged keys to lock the hearts together. Each wedding guest received a favorite quote of the bride and bridegroom tied to a vintage key.

Meredith wore a vintage style lace gown adorned with pearls and Swarovski crystals. The gown featured a traditional bateau neckline, a mermaid bell-shaped bodice with scalloped lace edging. The back of the dress was open with the edges detailed with pearls and Swarovski crystals. She wore her hair in a Hollywood-style roll, adorned with a Swarovski crystal headband and vintage style comb along with a finger-tip veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of white tulips. The tulip stems were wrapped with embellished lace from the sleeve of her mother’s wedding dress, and tied with silver photo charms of her deceased grandparents, great-aunt, beloved neighbors, and the bridegroom’s uncle.

Serving as matron-of-honor was Chelsea Gault of Charleston, South Carolina, sister of the bride. Chelsea was escorted down the aisle by her stepson, Carter Gault, junior groomsman. Maid of honor was Jenna Weightman, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Allison Bechtold, Irwin, Pennsylvania, sister of the bridegroom, Missy Baird and Sara Baird, Irwin, Pennsylvania, sisters-in-law of the bridegroom, Sammi Swann, Owings, Maryland, Erin Bond, Macungie, Pennsylvania, Hannah Moore, Altoona, Pennsylvania, Nell Berkeley, Ranson, and Korin Wengryn, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, friends of the bride.

The bride’s attendants wore royal blue chiffon dresses, each choosing a different style of long gown. They carried a boxwood topiary ball adorned with blue hydrangea, and a royal blue silk ribbon.

The flower girl was Nola Bechtold, Irwin, Pennsylvania, niece of the bridegroom. She carried a green moss covered basket with a royal blue silk ribbon. Eli Bechtold, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer. Eli carried the bride and bridegroom’s wedding rings on a large vintage key.

Jonathan Baird, Irwin, Pennsylvania, brother of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Ryan Baird, Irwin, Pennsylvania, brother of the bridegroom, T.J. Bechtold, Irwin, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Andy Gault, Charleston, South Carolina, brother-in-law of the bride, Adam Shaffer, Rocco Amendola, Dave Kozak, Irwin, Pennsylvania, Chris Thearle, and Eddy Hasis, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dylan Clifford, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, friends of the bridegroom.

The bridegroom wore a silver-gray tuxedo, white shirt, silver/white vest and silver tie. The groomsmen and junior groomsmen wore silver-gray tuxedos, white shirts and a royal blue tie. Each wore a vintage-style silver key tied with a royal blue ribbon as their boutonniere.

The mother of the bride and mother of the bridegroom were escorted down the aisle by their husbands. Each mother carried a bouquet of white balloons and one royal blue balloon representing their son or daughter. The balloons were released before the start of the ceremony by the bride and bridegroom’s parents.

The bride and bridegroom’s favorite quotes and poems were read during the ceremony by their godparents, Kym Burton, Bridgeport, Jeff D’Agostino, Asheville, North Carolina, the bride’s godparents, Susie Murn, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, and Clete Scalo, Butler, Pennsylvania, the bridegroom’s godparents.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside Linden Hall Mansion, followed by dinner and dancing at a spring garden-themed reception.

The bride is a 2011 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a 2015 graduate from West Virginia Wesleyan College, Buckhannon, with a bachelor’s degree in educational studies and a minor in psychology.

Meredith is the daughter of Robert and Marsha (Crites) Farkasovsky of Bridgeport. She is the granddaughter of Lillian Crites, Bridgeport, the late Elmer Crites and the late John and Anna Farkasovsky, Ambridge, Pennsylvania.

The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of Norwin High School and a 2015 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, with a bachelor’s degree in PE and health education.

Benjamin is the son of Mark and Lori (Sabol) Baird of Irwin, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson Clarence and Mildred Sabol of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, and the late Walter and Mary Margaret Baird of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

The bride and bridegroom honeymooned in the Jamaica. They now reside in Irwin, Pennsylvania.
