Just like a trusted friend, the book helps you plan your priorities for your big day. It also talks about the hidden clauses and costs of the army of vendors you would have to deal with, and prepares you for the last-minute contingencies too– thus reinforcing the idea that your wedding could be fun if planned for in advance.

Talking about her book, author Sonam Poddar Hissaria said in a statement, “I conceptualized writing this book when I realized how the knowledge and expertise that I had gained over these years could benefit innumerable brides. This book is a ready guide for all those who either cannot hire wedding planners due to budget constraints or location restrictions… I had been to many Indian weddings in the past and this fueled me with a real desire to help brides and executing their weddings as seamlessly as possible. Working with brides closely I released what seemed the logical way to start planning the wedding and was unknown to the brides-to- be.”

Published by Wisdom Tree, The Great Indian Wedding Planner is a compilation of thoughts, ideas and trends put together. The book aims to be the go-to guide for every Indian bride and groom-to-be, who wish for a big-fat Indian wedding.
